Drama

A brilliant director and wonderful man of God once said, “Theater at its best provides an understanding of ourselves as men and women made in the image of God.”  When the ACS high school drama department produces a show, we hope to provide not only an evening of entertainment, but also a glimpse of the joy we have found in Christ as we use our creativity and imagination.

Opportunities in the high school drama department vary from year to year, based on student interest.  Christmas shows relate the TRUE Christmas story in various ways, both reverent and joyful.  Winter and spring shows may be dramas, comedies, mysteries or musicals.  There are opportunities to get involved in many ways:  as an actor, as a tech crew member - assisting with lights/makeup/set changes, as an artist – creating set pieces/programs/posters, or as a stage manager – working with all the details that make up a successful performance.

Our goal for ACS theatre is to allow students to develop their God-given talents on stage, build friendships, have fun, and honor Jesus Christ with our efforts!

If that’s your goal as well, JOIN US!

Serving Christ,

Mrs. Cami Beck
ACS Drama Coordinator
