This course is an overview of Earth Science. The curriculum moves from Creation of the Earth to the structures of the earth. It covers the earth's crust and all the things living on it and how they are classified. Astronomy and the heavens that God blessed us with are also studied. There is a brief overview of Chemistry and, the building block of all things, the atom. The course ends with the study of the Human body and how to carefully care for it.
Life Science, Bob Jones
7th grade Science is a study of Life Science. This allows the students to learn, study, and experience anything living from a Christian worldview. The course is designed to have lab work, projects, group work, and a few dissections. The objective is to increase students’ knowledge about all things living and how they work, including the cellular level as well as to learn an overview of Biblical creation and evolution, preparing them for high school.
Physical Science, Prentice Hall
8th grade Science is the study of Physical Science. This allows the student to learn, study, and experience everything relating to the fields of Chemistry and Physics from a Christian worldview. The objective is to increase students’ knowledge about science at the atomic level and how atoms work and to learn the basics of simple machines and the laws by which our universe operates. All 8th grade students are expected to take place in the school Science Fair.
