Ways to Support

Here at ACS, we would be blessed to receive your support in any way! We understand that not everyone can give financially, and therefore have put together an extensive volunteer network that we would love to plug you into. If you can't give of your time, maybe you could partner with us through prayer! Feel free to browse our site to determine ways that you can support ACS and help make our school a stronger influence on your kids and our community.

We believe that everyone possesses unique gifts and passions that reach their utmost potential when sacrificially given to God in serving His purposes. Aurora Christian longs to be a school that aligns with the will of God and needs your help to become the school that we are called to be. Below you’ll find some opportunities that may fit your gift set; the list of committees and their descriptions underneath are by no means comprehensive:

Advertising / Marketing / Publicity

  • assist staff in increasing public awareness of ACS
  • research opportunities for recognition and revenue in the private sector
  • offer creative ideas to the ACS administration for exposing the benefits of ACS to families and businesses in our surrounding communities

Fundraising

  • work within a committee to create annual fundraising events that will enhance the educational opportunities at and cover the expenses of Aurora Christian School
  • help make current fundraising efforts more profitable

Administrative / Data Management / Project Help

  • be part of a group that organizes and manages data and can assist other committees with their projects
  • be part of a group who is available for a variety of needs from A to Z; flexible opportunity to work from home on your own time

IT / Media Coverage

  • assist administration with technology needs
  • provide professional insight that will help ACS maximize how we communicate with our staff, students, parents, and community
  • work with the Advertising / Marketing / Publicity committee to create a top notch public image of ACS   - offer expertise in computers, database, Excel, photography and video production, etc.

Prayer

  • help us to create an ACS prayer covering; we’d like at least 2 people walking the halls and praying for the school every class period- there are 8 periods in a day, we're looking for 2 people/hour, 5 days a week; a total of 40 prayer warriors!
  • create an avenue for sharing prayer needs within the school community and for rejoicing in the faithfulness that God continues to show us

Campus Beautification & Maintenance

  • address various needs regarding Sullivan and Illinois campus properties
  • offer landscaping, gardening, painting and handyman experience 

Alumni and Family Network

  • create communication and foster relationships w/ ACS alumni and their family 
  • offer ideas to administration on activities for alumni that will help create a steady influx of revenue

Spirit Squad

  • help us support ALL Aurora Christian endeavor
  • work with the administration and the school calendar to help raise the level of school unity
  • use skills such as banner painting, photographing school events for the website, crafts, decorations, etc.

At School Help

  • serve in the cafeteria, library, office and classroom
  • interact w/ the students and staff while serving

Ways to Give...

SCRIP Program

Support the school by ordering gift cards from merchants you usually shop with through the Shop With SCRIP website, then send your check to the school office or call with a credit card. Gift cards arrive on Fridays. We get a percentage of every card purchased. If you're going to shop there anyway, purchase the card through us then use your gift card next time you shop with that merchant. It's that easy! We also have some cards in stock at the school office, so no ordering required, just stop in the office to buy them.

Financial Gifts

1. Our Family Tree Fund provides an opportunity for members of our family (both nuclear and extended!) to give to help us keep tuition down. There are three Family Tree Fund support levels:

  • TRUNK family member
  • BRANCH family member
  • LEAF family member

2. Some families & friends prefer to give monthly. There are two payment options for monthly giving:

  • Submit voided check to ACS at 2255 Sullivan Rd, Aurora, IL 60506
  • Credit card info submitted electronically on our PayPal, or mail it to ACS

3. Online giving is available securely through PayPal. Please follow these instructions:

  • PayPal (follow link)
  • Enter the amount of your gift (matching the ‘apple’ that you chose from the Giving Tree) and click “Update Total”
  • Fill out the necessary information and click “Review Donation and Continue"
  • To the left of your donation amount, click “Add special instructions to the seller” and identify which ‘apple’ you want your gift to support.
  • Finalize your donation

4. Checks are always accepted as well.

  • Make check out to Aurora Christian Schools
  • On ‘memo’ line, identify which ‘apple’ you want your gift to support.
