Music Boosters

Who are the Aurora Christian School Music Boosters?
The Aurora Christian School Music Boosters organization is a group of supportive adults who assist, encourage and promote ALL music activities at Aurora Christian School.  That is for Band and Choir from 6-12 grades!

What do they do?
Our purpose and mission is to assist in providing funds for travel, musical equipment, and any other needs of the music programs. There are many different ways to volunteer throughout the year.

When do they meet?
Meetings are held once a quarter during the school year, and are held in the choir room at the Sullivan campus.  Check the calendar for dates and activities.

Why should I become involved?
By becoming an active member of the Aurora Christian School Music Boosters or attending booster meetings, you will have first hand knowledge about what is going on with the music programs and your student. Your involvement and assistance will allow the music programs to continue the great achievements and growth that we have experienced the past few years.

What if I can’t be there for every activity?
No Problem! The Boosters understand the importance of other family obligations. Not everyone can be there for everything. However, we do hope that each family can volunteer throughout the year. By doing this, we will not only be able to provide everything needed for our students, but we will also share in the responsibilities and show our support.

What can I do to help?
There are many opportunities during the year to help. Here are just a few activities that need adult volunteers:

  • Chaperones: Adult volunteers assist the ensembles at the ACSI Music Festival and field trips.
  • Baking: One of our main fundraisers is the monthly bake sale held during lunch.  We are always in need of bakers and parents to sell the goodies during lunches.
  • Fund Raising:  Each year, the boosters organize activities to raise funds for the general music and student accounts. Fund raisers include the Fays BBQ, Abundant Funds, Market Day Pies and Cookie Dough any other opportunities that may arise.

How do I find out more?
That’s the easy part!  Plan to attend any Booster meeting or contact Mrs. Tognarelli or Mrs. Hauser.  We will be glad to answer any questions you have.
