The spiritual life of Aurora Christian Elementary School is one that is focused on the our eternal God. The theme for the year 2009-2010 school year is taken from Romans 16:19. WISE AND INNOCENT will the focus from the verse: "Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil."
Our staff seeks to accomplish the school's mission by "working with families in bringing their children to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, educating them from a Christian worldview, and preparing them for a life of service to Christ and their world." We all need to have that daily, personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. With that mind set, we strive to educate the students by looking at the world through the lenses of scripture. The Bible must be the eternal truth that everyone depends on - because it never changes! By rooting our students deep in the Word, we can begin to help them see how they can use their gifts to touch the world.
Luke 6:40b says, "...everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher." The born-again, Christ-believing teachers who are serving the students here are excellent role models for our students. They all want their students to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21).
