Our Mission
The Aurora Christian Basketball team is a team that tries to reflect the attitude and efforts of Jesus Christ. Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men” is our team verse. As a team, we strive to exemplify this every day in our Christian walk. Our main goal is to develop strong Christian men and to give them the tools to grow closer in their walk with Jesus Christ. We feel if we work hard, dedicate ourselves to each other, and prepare like a champion, God will be honored!
At Aurora Christian we use the sport of basketball to teach our young men important life lessons that will prepare them for life after ACS. Devotions and prayer are keys to our program, as are teamwork, discipline, trust, faith, and effort. These are all skills that are very important off the court as well. The sport of basketball allows us to work within the lives of our athletes and we take that opportunity very seriously.
The coaching staff at ACS is well prepared to lead our men into the future. We believe in daily preparation for practice, the will to maximize our time together, as well as to equip our teams for success. Preparation is paramount in our program. Players are expected to be prepared for our time together every day, whether that be in devotions, at games, practice, or an outside event. We believe very strongly that to be a champion for Christ, it takes preparation on many fronts.
