Eagle Ambassador Program

WHO WE ARE

The Aurora Christian Eagle Ambassadors are a student admissions team consisting of at least one boy and one girl from grades 5-12. Ambassadors are trained to promote the values and achievements of Aurora Christian to the surrounding community. 

It is our desire that through this program, Ambassadors will develop in leadership, self-confidence, conflict resolution, networking, public speaking, serving/ministering, accountability, and character.

WHAT WE DO

Some responsibilities of an Eagle Ambassador include, but are not limited to:

  1. Conduct individual and group campus tours upon request 
  2. Allow prospective students to shadow them
  3. Represent ACS at recruitment events
  4. Assist with the promotion of current student events
  5. Assist with information packets and mailing to prospective students
  6. Participate in occasional photo shoots for promotional ACS publication pieces

FAQ

WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
The period of responsibilities for the school year will extend from August to May. Eagle Ambassadors must be able to fulfill an average of 3-4 hours/week assisting with various responsibilities. Some events may take place off-campus, in the early mornings, or in evenings. While several tours and events are flexible, Eagle Ambassadors must be able to attend weekly training sessions. All expectations will be communicated to Eagle Ambassadors and their families a minimum of 2 weeks in advance to ensure that families can plan accordingly.

HOW DO I APPLY?
Applications for the 2012-2013 school year will be available soon.

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?
Ambassadors must maintain a 2.5 GPA and be on good disciplinary standing with the school.

HOW MANY POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
We have openings for one boy and one girl in current grades 6, 7, 9, 10, 11 & two boys and two girls in current grades 5, 8.

WHAT IS THE SCHOLARSHIP ASSOCIATED WITH THE EAGLE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM?
