Administration

Mr. Paul House and his wife Loretta, along with a Board of Directors founded Aurora Christian School in 1975.  Paul was born and raised in Hollister, California, and graduated from Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz, California in 1964.  After serving 13 years as Christian Education Director and Youth Pastor in five churches, he has been principal, teacher, superintendent and board member of ACS.  Paul and Loretta currently attend River Valley Community Church in Aurora.  They live in Oswego , have 3 daughters and 4 granddaughters, all of whom attend Aurora Christian School.

Miss Collette House began teaching high school mathematics and sports medicine at Aurora Christian School in the fall of 1992. Throughout her years at ACS, she has served as the certified athletic trainer for the Eagles and also directs the Chapel Band (student worship team). Collette earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She completed a Master's degree in Educational Leadership at Aurora University in 2001, and is currently working on a doctorate in Organizational Leadership through Northcentral University. Collette has been a part of the administrative team since 2000, and became Middle/High School principal in 2006. In addition to her work at Aurora Christian, Collette currently serves as chair of the Mid-America Regional Accreditation Commission for the Association of Christian Schools International. Through this position, she is able to collaborate with other Christian school administrators and promote excellence in Christian education throughout our region. Miss House lives in Aurora and attends Harvest Bible Chapel in Naperville, Illinois.

Mr. Scott Etchison has been a part of Aurora Christian School since 1985.  Scott was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana, and after graduating from Taylor University in 1985 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a fifth grade teacher at ACS.  Scott graduated from Grace Theological Seminary in 1991 with a Master's degree in Christian School Administration.  In 1992 he became the Elementary Principal, and has also served as the Preschool Principal.  Scott and his wife, Naomi, live in Aurora with their four children: Ruth, Kelly, Mary, and Noah. The Etchison family attends Village Bible Church in Sugar Grove, Illinois.

Mr. Scott Oleson has been a part of Aurora Christian School since 2004. Scott was born in Milwaukee, WI and raised on a farm in Sugar Grove, IL. After graduating from DePaul University in 1988 with a degree in Marketing & Business, Scott started his own outsourcing company. In 2004, with a great desire and the call to teach, Scott joined Aurora Christian School as a 4th grade teacher upon receiving his Masters in Education from Aurora University. In 2007, Scott became Dean of Students at the high school. Scott and his wife, Romni, live in Aurora with their two children: Sarina and Ivy. The Oleson family attends Christ Community Church in Aurora, IL.
